This beginner-level three-week series will break down landscape painting into three core focuses sky, water, and land. We will zoom in on compositional elements each week through small sequential exercises.
WEEK ONE - SKY:
• Focus on clouds and the power of transparency
• Washes and Color Blending
•Lifting
•Water Control
WEEK TWO - WATER:
• Layering
•Tone and Contrast
• Expressive Brushstroke and Negative space
WEEK THREE - LAND:
• Grasses and Texture
• Dry Brushing & Scrapping
• Texture-building tools like salt/alcohol
